Júlia Barón
I’m a Serra Húnter Fellow in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and English Studies at the University of Barcelona (UB). I’m currently the coordinator of the Applied Linguistics research strand of the Ph.D. Programs Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies and Cognitive Science and Language (UB). My main research interests lie within the learning and teaching pragmatics in EFL contexts, Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT), and early language acquisition. I’m a full member of the GRAL research group on Applied Linguistics, in which we have carried out a number of projects on Second Language Acquisition, the latest being on the effects of multimodal input on L2 learning . I’m also the president of the International Association of Teaching Pragmatics (ITAP) whose aim is to bring together research and teaching practices together within the field of pragmatics.
