The Language and Computation Center (CLiC, PI: Mariona Taulé) focuses its research on the computational processing of language:

• Development of language technology resources (annotated corpora, lexicons, parsers), which are the base of applications based on language processing: information retrieval, question answering, information extraction...

• It is a key factor of our work that the resources we develop follow a methodological basis, so that while we are still working on a new tool we can also share our methodology with the researchers' community.

• Our main interest is language, both oral and written. Our research aims to the construction of a model of linguistic performance based on a bottom-up analysis of data.
